Sr. Engineering Technician

Reports Directly To: VP – Engineering & Operations

FLSA Status: Exempt

Direct Reports: None

SUMMARY:

MEPUSA is seeking an experienced (10+ years) engineering tech, familiar with and capable of supporting Field Operations, Production/Reservoir/Completion Engineering while working in a team environment, with the ability to interact with other disciplines. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust priorities and tasks as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage data and data tables including QC’ing, connecting tables, improving data structure and flow
  • Setup and maintain use of commercial software such Aries (Combocurve) and spotfire
  • Manage internal and external data sources, such as Enervus, with the ability to import, export, compile, filter, transpose, and QC data
  • Maintain and QA/QC production and well header data and actively work to automate workflows
  • Ensure well data is sent to and received from partners in a timely manner
  • Build and maintain Aries, Combocurve, and Spotfire projects for the Ops team
  • Assist engineers by providing technical support required to perform detailed field studies of company assets and acquisition candidates
  • Prepare reports as required from Reserve/Resource databases
  • Support Engineering workflows to capture data for Reserve/Resource databases
  • Maintain documentation of Engineering Technician processes

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
  • Familiarity with GIS and Spatial data
  • Ability to be the Team’s SME expert on Quorum tools pertaining to engineering
  • Analytical and problem solving
  • Create and maintain operating dashboards & KPIs

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 10 years of engineering tech experience in the oil and gas industry required
  • Bachelor’s degree or an associate degree with equivalent related work experience required

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Fluent verbal and written skills in English.
